Followers of the JYC –
As I prepare to embark on a journey to the center of the earth (I sincerely hope that my own adventure does not star Brendan Fraser in any way), a.k.a. Myanmar, I thought it fitting to leave behind some sort of indelible mark to tide listeners over until my return.
Sometimes, all you need to make a song great is a beat. Anyone who’s ever heard the album “About a Beat” by the Park City Collaborative already knows this. Today’s post/song gives you that beat and more. Mixing tribal rhythms with new-age house sounds and chanting vocals, this song brings together the best of several cutures, past and present. It’s fitting for the occasion, and I hope you enjoy. See you on the other side…
